Hello

I’m James Marshall. Nice to meet you.

I’m a Creative Director/Copywriter living in Toronto, on Roncesvalles with my wife, son and dog. You are legally required to own a dog to live in Roncesvalles.

I’m a huge music dork and a giant comedy nerd. I can bore anyone on either topic. I’ve written stage shows at Second City and The Comedy Bar.

I’ve spent a bunch of years writing copy and thinking of ideas for some really big brands, some small entrepreneurs and everything in between.

I’ve worked at big agencies, a broadcaster, and with some awesome design and branding studios. From broadcast to DCO, to web and OOH I’ve touched it all. It’s been fun.
Looking forward to chatting.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with James many times over the years and he consistently brings creativity, collaboration, and strategic thinking to every project. James is a team player — from early ideation sessions to crafting compelling web copy and even naming brands. He creatively explores multiple angles and always brings thoughtful and thorough rationale to support his ideas. Ifyou’re looking for someone multi-faceted who can move seamlessly from big-picture thinking to detailed execution while inspiring everyone around the table, James is that person.

“Sharp, witty, abstract and a darn nice guy - in fact, everything you could want in a wordsmith, team member and fellow creative thinker, James has it nailed. He’s a golden ticket on any project and a true pro, and I sure hope to work with him more in the future.”

“James has been an incredibly efficient, open-minded and great spirit to have on the EV LIVE team. He always makes himself available to chat through project pivots, he asks great questions ensure we're delivering against the client's needs, and always delivers his work ahead of schedule (a Producer's dream). Not only is James a talented creative, but his easy-going attitude makes working with him such a pleasure, especially on a complex program like EV LIVE.”
